In regards to the above application, we as part of the surrounding property owners, would like to be assured that any variance allowing for a 2nd floor does not permit one that is similar in style/ design as the" bunker style”
existing 1st floor. This building has no windows or any type of landscaping to soften the structure. It is in a harsh unwelcoming style completely not in accordance with the rest of this lovely residential/small business area.
Allowing the addition of a 2nd floor in the same utilitarian industrial style by the Town Council would be a very poor precedent to set for future developments on the Island.
When will the design be available for neighbors to look at?
Hopefully the Town Council will take or has already taken in to consideration exactly how this final larger structure will look.
