    Received via email 8.8.24 from Michael Vincent John Spaziani:
    Good morning, Council and Mayor:
    Divide the nation in half.
    Divide the island in half.
    We have a declaration of use agreement with the Mar-O-Lago Club. They are in breach of traffic congestion, effect on real estate prices in this area-see article in Shiny Sheet etc. according to this agreement.
    Declaration of Use Agreement
    WHEREAS, in approving the Special Exception and site plan, the conditions of approval reflected herein are imposed in order to regulate the use and mitigate any impacts of the Club, as well as to insure that said use shall not be adverse to the public interest;
    The operations of the Club shall not result in a nuisance to any of the neighboring properties.
    At least fifty percent (50%) of the members of the Club shall consist of individuals who maintain residences in the Town of Palm Beach or have places of employment in the Town of Palm Beach.
    This shall include but not be limited to the prohibition of film making, movie producing, magazine feature photography, newspaper photography, photography for public relations purposes for individual members and/or guests and other commercial photography and the like.
    Businesses are being ruined. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on security ($125,000 per day with just the Sheriffs) to divide the island in half. How much is this costing EACH TAXPAYER ON THE ISLAND for just our own Police.
    Please look into closing the club until election. Everyone on the island is extremely upset. We would not allow this to happen to any other club.
    Why should we all be inconvenienced, financially hurt, while they enjoy drinking "Champagne and eating caviar". It's your responsibility to protect and serve the people on this island.
    To be honest I have never in my 43 years here felt so unsafe.
    You, as the Council have a right to close down the club for many reasons according to the Declaration of Use, see above. We are looking forward to some relief. I talked to our town attorney yesterday, and she believes that there are some items in the Declaration of Use that would help with your decision.
    Thanks
    Michael
