Dear Esteemed Members of the Palm Beach Town Council:
We are writing to express our full support for the Special Exception Request for Carriage House, as outlined in application ZON-24-052, regarding outdoor dining permission in the courtyard and the gradual increase in the number of Carriage House’s Club Members over the next three years.
As a homeowner and members of the Palm Beach’s Phipps Estates community, we know that The Carriage House has become a valuable partner in our town. Since its opening, we have seen The Carriage House operate in a responsible and respectful manner while also being a kind and thoughtful neighbor. For example, you may recall that The Carriage House committed over $300,000 to beautify our neighboring Phipps Plaza Park with the objective of making the plaza an attractive and happy place for its residents and the community.
While we are not members of The Carriage House, we have been guests of members many times and know that most of Carriage House's members are Palm Beach residents who inherently grasp the importance of being exemplary neighbors, demonstrating due regard for noise abatement and privacy, much like their conduct within their own residences. The enclosed nature of the Carriage House courtyard affords both privacy and sound insulation, cultivating a tranquil and inviting ambiance for outdoor dining, thereby enriching the overall experience for its members. We respectfully seek the Town Council's approval for outdoor dining, in line with permissions granted to other private clubs on the island and numerous establishments within residential vicinities.
Furthermore, the phased increase in the number of Club Members over the next three years reflects Carriage House's commitment to responsible growth and sustainable development. This measured approach provides for expansion that aligns with the values of our Palm Beach community while preserving the quality and integrity of the establishment.
Considering the upcoming hearing on April 10th, 2024, we respectfully ask the Town Council to support their Special Exception Request. Your favorable consideration of this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue, please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
Respectfully submitted,
Mark and Robin Tebbe

We thoroughly enjoy all of our time spent at The Carriage House whether it be dinner or a private party. The weather in Palm Beach with its balmy breezes and comfortable nights is a perfect setting for outdoor dining in a beautiful area created by The Carriage House design team. We hope that the Town will support the requested changes. Diane and John Sculley 1214 North Ocean Blvd Palm Beach
We are residents of 100 Royal Palm Way and our 4th floor unit on the west side of our building has line of sight to the Carriage House. We have never noted any disruption or heard any noise emanating from the club. As members for the last two seasons, we have enjoyed the club ourselves and many, many Palm Beachers that are not members enjoy it as well and would greatly appreciate outdoor dining. It is very clear that the club polices its activities very assiduously and maintains a very civilized atmosphere and is very respectful of its neighbors. We also see no reason why the club shouldn't be allowed to admit more members -- it has never been over-crowded or unruly. Quite the contrary, it tends to be a mature crowd of people in their 40's to 60's. I hope the Town can see its way clear to reward this new but quite civilized institution by granting its quite reasonable requests. Thank you for your consideration, James and Krista Corl, 100 Royal Palm Way, Apartment G-4
Carriage House has shown over the past year how much of a value it is to the PB community. The changes would be welcomed and would be a great enhancement for a stellar community business that does things right. Please consider approving all 3 requests. Sincerely- Bret and Amy Baier 125 Wells Road.
