As I drive around town I am struck with the overall improvement of the visual appeal in those areas where the overhead utility lines have been removed. I have always been a supporter of the under grounding project and granted an easement on my property for the placement of equipment. Recently though I have become dismayed by the lack of landscaping around the various above ground elements. In many areas where the project has been completed there are many un-landscaped boxes, transformers and switching stations.
I believe that the commitment of the project was to provide landscaping to hide the above ground equipment required by the under grounding. My casual observation is that this part of the project has gone un-completed in a number of areas. What is the status of this part of the project?
