    Good morning Town Council,
Thank you for your time and consideration of my opinion. I am a resident of Palm Beach and live very close to the small parks located at 240 and 247 Park Ave.
Considering the extreme uptick in development in our region, green space, even in small parcels, is precious and needs to be preserved.
I do not approve of the proposed "upgrades" to these small remaining green spaces in our neighborhood. Kindly consider removing the "hard scape" features of these designs. Please keep these parks simple and green.
Adding concrete paths/walls will, in no way, improve these parks.
Perhaps the donor would consider allowing the town to decide where donated funds could be best utilized to improve our island home.
    Thank you,
    Mimi Jannetty

Hi there – I am submitting comments for tomorrow’s meeting as I cannot attend, below and attached:
Good morning Mayor Moore and Town Council members – I am Diane Buhler, Founder, Friends of Palm Beach
I wanted to give you my monthly update from the beach.
We have been working with only one truck this year but in full gear collecting the incoming marine debris.
2024 stands at 9,200 pounds removed so far through April.
Turtle season is in full swing, leatherbacks nesting, loggerheads nesting and the green sea turtle will be next.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center has recorded 156 Leatherbacks and 757 Loggerheads so far in 2024 in their nesting area.
I do hope the new robust sea turtle education signs are installed soon. I’m told by a Shore Protection Board member that the signs are in the works and the process is ready to be complete.
I also hope you will change the time-frame for the off-leash privilege on the beach from Sunset to Wells Road from dawn to 9am to 5pm to dusk.
This allows the endangered nesting females a clear path on and off the beach with no uncontrolled dog abuse like last year and most importantly, no hatchling disruption by these dogs on their journey to the ocean.
I ask you to eliminate single-use plastics as the power is in our hands to keep ourselves and our environment healthy.
    Thank you for your time.
    THANKS!
Make it a great day, Diane
