Dear Members of Town Council, Planning and Zoning Officials and Mayor Moore,
This is a strong letter of concern in regards to how the town is handling zoning, building and all major affairs. The residents in the North end are furious, we are not being heard! We feel that you have wasted $2m in tax payers’ money and we still don’t have the help we need.
It is your duty as town officials to HELP us the residents maintain this island we call home; not go AGAINST us and destroy it. Every summer when all of us residents are away these investors and developers come in and put all their projects up for approvals and make outrageous requests for variances and special exceptions. The town NEEDS TO PUT A STOP TO THIS, all town matters should be handled during season and have a halt in the summer months. No meetings, no code changes, no plan approvals… nothing.
Any major changes to the town’s building and zoning codes should be well studied, discussed with town residents and voted on before any changes are made. These new construction projects are too close to property lines on and being built on smaller lots it’s overwhelming and out of character for Palm Beach.
