    Honorable Town Council:
My wife Martha and I are here now staying in East Hampton for September, and spending a lot of time in both Sag Harbor and Montauk. These are the areas we actually witnessed Rove serving.
Yesterday we were having lunch and stayed around throughout the day in Sag Harbor. We saw some Rove vehicles driving, picking up and dropping off people throughout the day.
They seemed pretty careful picking up and dropping off people. The cars are nice and new. They are small, modern looking black Tesla electric cars.
As for the writing on the sides of the vehicle, they were advertising businesses and things we never heard of.
So the advertising didn’t bother us at all, as we had no idea what the words meant, or who the ad buyers were. Only one ad we knew was for a local restaurant owned by one Rove owner’s mother in law. But no well known commercial type names of advertisers that you would see on television, etc. No strange pictures or odd branding type of art.
So the stenciling on the sides of the cars did not bother my wife or I. Much of the advertising on the sides of trucks in Palm Beach looks far worse.
We noticed there were three cars in the parking lot of the restaurant in Sag Harbor owned by designer Donna Karen, the mother-in-law of one of the owners of Rove. The cars were neatly parked. Nobody was in the cars. We have never met the Rove owners or their relatives.
We have not taken a ride in any of the Rove cars. But locals in Sag Harbor have told us the Rove service has been excellent, and that Town officials have been keeping a close eye on Rove, and so far there has not been a problem.
It is a new service, and so far so good per those we have spoken to. We are here until the end of September, and will continue to ask questions about Rove.
But so far it appears to be very useful and helpful to residents in these towns.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Kind regards, Steven Jeffrey and Martha Greenwald

Good Day Madam Mayor, and Honorable Commissioners, Town Managers, Employees, Police Chief, Fire/Rescue Chief, Officers, Religious Leaders and concerned Citizens. As the busy Fall and Winter Seasons are approaching I, and a host of residents, store owners, employees, vendors, tourists, and visitors are extremely disgusted and frustrated with the rude, vile, loud, annoying, aggravating, and dangerous behavior that are; ex- president trumps followers and demonstrators who gather each year and cause havoc, dangerous conditions, and destruction of roadways, walkways and bike paths around on the Island and on the Southern Boulevard bridge approaches to Maralago. These obnoxious people disturb traffic flow, harass and insult passing motorists and pedestrians all day and most nights. The Police try their hardest to regulate them for obvious safety concerns, however it’s a losing battle as we observed last Season. So, my first question is, are they legally permitted to create these unsafe and dangerous ‘rally’s’ on and around the Island? My second question is, if so aren’t they required by law to obtain permission, permits, or licenses for their activities and events? It’s only a question of time before a serious incident or even a worse event occurs given the vitriolic rhetoric and current status of turmoil and rage that we are experiencing right here and now. Please take the time to respond to this at your earliest convenience. Thank you. David Minton
